Introduction Nicholas Vrijenhoek
After having worked in sales (as bid manager) and procurement (as buyer), I decided to start Tender4Success, with the aim to 1) assist ‘buying’ organisations with getting the best and most out of the tender procedures they run and 2) assist ‘selling’ organisations with developing the best possible tenders and maximising the chance of success. My knowledge and experience on both sides of the ‘table’, enables me to fully support your organisation and maximise success.

I am a commercially minded, flexible and result-oriented consultant who likes to contribute to the success of my client. My style is characterised by thoroughness and people-orientation. This means that I like to realise results that matter, in a creative and innovative way. I prefer to do this in a team, in a coaching manner and with a healthy dose of fun.

Procurement: experience
As a buyer, I was responsible for advising on procurement topics (supplies and services), execution of (European) tenders and conducting negotiations. Also, I have been representative at European level. This means I have been co-responsible for achieving procurement synergies in a complex international and political context.

In addition I have also been responsible for the implementation of an e-procurement platform (Negometrix) and the management of a team of operational procurement officers.

Bid Management: experience
As Bid Manager I was responsible for setting up and managing Bid Management at several organisations, bringing in new business (through for instance European tenders), maximising the efficiency of the sales efforts and negotiating/implementing contracts (ITIL SLA / framework contracts). I have also set up governance procedures in the field of finance, operations and legal. Besides my Bid Management work I have been project manager for the implementation of a CRM and project administration system.

I have done successful bid submissions (among others) in the areas of:

  • Document Management Systems;
  • Occupational health and safety services;
  • HR services;
  • Hiring/posting services;
  • ICT network services;
  • ICT solutions.
